On-Site Construction Project Manager

Job Summary:
Experienced commercial general contractor founded in 1968 seeks an experienced On-Site Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects in Southern New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture or civil engineering and will be responsible for managing the daily operations of job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control, safety, and compliance with building codes.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and material procurement to maintain efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolving issues that may impact project timelines or costs.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Ensure subcontractor performance aligns with contract requirements and company standards.
- Work closely with the estimating team to provide feedback on cost and constructability.
- Lead and manage on-site construction teams to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- Experience: Experience in Construction management.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, PMP, or LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, , MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades on-site.
