Maintenance Technician II
Summary/Objective
Maintenance technician‘s job is to perform routine range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and manufacturing equipment under general supervision. They execute work within establishes procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Oversees minor maintenance and repair functions for electrical, plumbing systems, general construction. etc..
- Ensures all venders adhere to Fabco-Air's rules and regulations
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative and corrective
maintenance requirements
- Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injury
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems,
and using precision measuring tools
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques;
monitoring compliance
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Performs miscellaneous tasks, such as - moving furniture, and replenish supplies as needed..
- Proper use of material handling equipment as required
- Ensures proper care of company provided tools
- Completes all tasks assigned to him / her by management
- Overtime may be required for short term or long term duration as business needs mandate
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a
sealant on a flat roof and fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Identify and resolve recurring equipment problems
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work per forecasted workloads
- Competencies: Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on maintenance
tasks
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
- Working knowledge of tools and devices
- Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus
- Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, it’s usage, and safety procedures
- Self-motivated, responsible, and safety oriented individual
- Learns and applies stand tools and techniques to solve problems
- Ability to change belts / fluids
- Maintenance on CNC machines
- Slight programming ability to read G code
Qualifications/Requirements
Education
HS Diploma
Experience
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience
- Simple programming / understanding of G code
