Job Title: Weld/HyDef/Robot
Reports to: Shop Supervisor
Job Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Location: 27807 Red Fox Rd, Tomball, TX 77377
SUMMARY Daily assignment will vary from manual welding, Robot operations or HyDef operation as needed.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Welding
Produces quality welds as defined by Quality Manual and supporting documents.
Capable of using multiple processes primarily FCAW and GMAW.
Sets up welding equipment to optimize weld quality and productivity.
Follows welding procedures and directions of supervisor.
Uses basic welders tools and equipment.
Checks welds for conformance with applicable quality requirements.
Robot Operator
Loads and unloads parts in jigs for production robots.
Helps setup jigs for job changes.
Uses start boxes to generate program start/stop
Visually inspects parts per sample and per Supervisor.
Follows Supervisor direction
Performs general daily maintenance on equipment.
Operates forklifts.

Hy Def Burner Operator
Checks with Leadman Burner, for work order assignment and priority.
Loads and unloads tables, checks that correct material type/grade has been pulled for work order.
Burns material as per WO router.
Pull parts to verify dimensions and make adjustments as necessary.
Clocks in on all applicable work order sequences.
Cleans and performs routine operator maintenance tasks on machines as necessary.
Performs weekly safety inspection on machines.
Checks gears, wheel bearings and hoses, monthly.
Monitors condition of burn tips, notifies Leadman Burner when replacements need to be ordered
Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.
Follow company safety & security guidelines
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Blueprint reading
Shop math
5 years previous experience
Must have completed some formal training and pass pre-employment weld testing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting up to 30 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction. The employee is frequently required to sit while performing the duties of this job (approx. 70%) walk (30%) stand. The employee is expected to lift or move materials (5% of workday)
