Job Title: Maintenance Worker C
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY Perform maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Assist in forklift repair and maintenance when necessary
Maintenance and repair of all additional support equipment.
Responsible for general facility repairs involving electrical mechanical, structural and machinery repairs.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly personal work environment, at all times.
Must display organizational skills, involving all maintenance department related supplies and storage areas.
Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.
Follow company safety & security guidelines
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or GED
Substantial mechanical aptitude.
Practical mechanical experience.
Electrical circuity knowledge.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting up to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction. The employee is frequently required to sit while performing the duties of this job (approx. 80%) walk (20%) The employee is expected to lift or move materials (5% of workday)
MENTAL DEMANDS
