Job Summary : Fabick Cat is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee our Power Systems division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring high-quality service and maintenance of power systems, and leading a team of skilled technicians. Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop technicians and service support team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Assign technicians to specific repair and maintenance work according to their knowledge, experience, and repair capabilities on specific types of products.
- Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of power systems equipment, including generators, engines, and related components.
- Monitor workflow and productivity to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians as needed.
- Manage shop budget and control expenses.
- Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare reports of findings.
- Performs any and all duties as assigned. Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related business field is preferred, but not required.
- 3-7 years of service experience is required.
- 5 plus years in supervision, preferably supervising technicians preferred.
- Strong knowledge of power systems equipment, including generators and engines preferred.
- Proven leadership and team management skills required.
- Experience with budget management, forecasting and service KPIs
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills are required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other business software applications is required.
- The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is required. Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, bend and stoop to perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds.
