About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Business Intelligence / Data Engineer Leader to build our reporting infrastructure from the ground up. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the processes and systems that allow for robust, scalable data reporting, analytics, and business intelligence (BI). You will be fully integrated into our small but mighty engineering team, reporting directly to the CTO, and will spend plenty of time working closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, especially leadership, to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and visualization meet the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage a scalable data warehouse to store and process large volumes of data.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and APIs to process and integrate data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualizations that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with business teams to define reporting requirements and KPIs.
- Implement automated reporting solutions to streamline business workflows.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across all systems.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Programming: Knowledge of programming languages like Python
- Data warehousing: Understanding of data modeling, extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
- Tools: Familiarity with tools like Metabase, Tableau, and Data Bricks, as well as general Excel and PowerPoint wizardry
