Fabric8Labs, headquartered in sunny San Diego, CA, is revolutionizing metal additive manufacturing with advanced 3D printing technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Thermal Product Engineer to join our innovative team.

Fabric8Labs is focused on accelerating metal additive manufacturing adoption and enabling new applications with our patented Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM) process. Since closing our Series B funding round, we are rapidly expanding our team to advance and commercialize our disruptive technology.

We are looking for Product Engineer who can help us launch innovative thermal management products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and managing our thermal management solutions, with a specific focus on liquid cooling technologies. In this role, you will work closely with our commercialization, engineering, and senior leadership teams to create and deliver high performance thermal management solutions for a wide range of customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of liquid cooling products
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to define product requirements and strategies
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in thermal management solutions
  • Manage product roadmaps and development timelines
  • Oversee product testing, validation, and certification processes
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance and cost-efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in thermal management, with a specific focus on liquid cooling technologies in data center applications
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering liquid cooling products to market
  • Strong understanding of thermal dynamics, heat transfer principles, and fluid mechanics
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to thermal management
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, and collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated, action oriented individual with a growth mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Project Management software
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or MBA
  • Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software
  • Experienced in CAD / design tools; ability to develop and design new concepts using common design tools (e.g. solidworks)
