Job Purpose:
As the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will take charge of monitoring accounts and managing the status of the company’s credit customers. Your key responsibilities will include proactively contacting customers about overdue payments, accurately documenting credit terms, posting payments, and providing support to customers and the sales team with invoice-related questions and discrepancies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
- Lead weekly meetings with your supervisor to address issues, delinquent accounts, and establish actionable plans.
- Implement account holds when necessary to mitigate risk.
- Make prompt collection calls and work with your supervisor to develop effective collection strategies that maintain customer accountability for open balances.
- Investigate short payments by thoroughly reviewing pick tickets and delivery receipts.
- Maintain detailed notes on each account to keep all relevant parties informed about the status of outstanding balances.
- Communicate assertively with customers to resolve outstanding issues or missed payments with respect and professionalism.
- Enter new customers and update existing customer information in the ERP system without delay.
- Respond to credit reference requests swiftly and professionally.
- Handle internal and external emails promptly and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
- Provide assistance to other members of the accounting team as necessary.
- Conduct credit checks on potential customers diligently.
- Process daily bank deposits and credit card batching efficiently.
- Execute any other duties as assigned with confidence and responsibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor or Manager
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
Salary : $60 - $70
