Job description
The position of Metal Fabricator 1 is responsible for monitoring job dispatch sheets and operation of various machines within our cut and form department. The Metal Fabricator 1 position will learn our CNC laser with the opportunity to progress to Metal Fabricator 2 and 3 by learning other work centers.
Primary Duties

· Operate a variety of sheet metal fabrication machines and equipment to include but not limited to: brake presses, lasers, rollers, grinding and finishing tools

· Set up and prepare parts for cutting and forming operations

· Load/unload materials into machines and equipment

· Read and understand blueprints, job routings and paperwork

· Push/pull equipment and parts to and from designated areas

· Follow written and verbal instructions

· Work overtime and rotate jobs as needed

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Previous experience with basic hand tools.

· 1 or more years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent education

· Previous experience in metal fabrication is preferred but not necessary

· Ability to work within a Team framework

• Operate an overhead hoist to assist with heavy lifting of parts, materials, and equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
