Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve company goals.
- Oversee daily operations of the sales team, ensuring effective execution of sales plans.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize materials handling processes, including load unloading and order picking.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to enhance operational efficiency within the distribution center.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with logistics for timely delivery of products.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in sales techniques and customer relationship management.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling processes, including the use of pallet jacks and cherry pickers.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
