Hardware Design Engineer - Sunnyvale, CA
DESCRIPTION :
Meta is seeking a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! This role will be working within the Reality Labs organization on entirely new technology being developed for the next generation of Meta's AR consumer products.
The ideal candidate will be a Senior level HW / EE with a strong design skillset and generalist capabilities, enabling them to work on complex hardware, which may include flex / rigid / high-density board design, board bring up, debugging, and validation.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review and approve plan layout, including creating new designs and modifications of existing designs.
- Design and develop hardware including board designs for flex, rigid, high-density boards
- Design and support for peripherals such as system-on-chip (SoC), support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and system interconnection.
- Review and approve product prototypes, working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
- Write detailed functional specifications and design flow / tradeoff.
- Support new technology introduction.
- Act as a subject matter expert to engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
- Provide training and support to system designers and users.
- Direct technicians, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed.
