PURPOSE
The Columbia Public School district is seeking a Roofer to repair, replace, inspect and maintenance multiple roof types throughout the district. Carpentry will be a secondary duty for the selected applicant.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Roof inspections, repairs, replacements and maintenance
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Performs time and material estimates for repairs and renovation projects
- Carpentry duties include but are not limited to new construction, renovations and repairs; building walls; window repairs, door and lock repairs; furniture repairs
- Understands and adheres to Board policies and procedures
Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports To: Director of Facilities
Supervises: None
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions related to work assignments; Knowledge of the safe use of supplies and equipment; Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, building cleaning and maintenance procedures; Ability to maintain a cooperative and positive relationship with other people.
Preferred: Welding/Fabricating Experience.
The ideal candidate:
Licensed Roofer, comfortable working on elevated platforms, Strong mental dexterity with a keen eye for detail,
5 years of roofing experience. Experience working with various types of roofing materials.
Also will have a professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment.
