FACILITY SUPPORT SPECIALIST
General Responsibilities:
Supports District schools in maintaining a clean and safe educational environment. This role primarily involves custodial duties, basic groundskeeping and assisting with minor maintenance tasks as needed. The Facilities Maintenance Assistant operates under the guidance of the Principal and Director of Facilities to help ensure that school facilities remain in good condition.
Major Tasks:
- Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning classrooms, workrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and entryways.
- Maintain the appearance of the school grounds by blowing off campus areas and removing debris or small branches.
- Assist with arranging equipment for activities and ensuring that facilities are prepared for events.
- Support the Maintenance Team by conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs to the best of your ability, including basic
HVAC maintenance (e.g., belts, filters).
- Monitor and report any significant building issues to the Maintenance Team, Principal, or Director of Facilities.
- Assist with inventory management and the organization of maintenance supplies.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the public, staff, and students, ensuring a professional demeanor at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Principal or Director of Facilities. This role is designed to provide essential support in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of school facilities, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or the equivalent of the tenth grade.
- Experience in groundswork and landscaping as appropriate in horticultural practices, and minor maintenance and repair of grounds equipment.
- Hold current Arizona Driver's License.
- Ability to work effectively with other employees.
