Facilities Performance Group is a privately held corporation based in Hernando, Mississippi. For more than a decade, we have been delivering excellence in facilities support services to clients in a wide range of industries, including aviation, utilities, education, logistics, and manufacturing.
Position Description: As an Industrial Cleaner, the incumbent is responsible for working in an industrial environment, cleaning and maintaining facility areas.
Examples of Work:
- Dust mops, sweeps, scrubs, and cleans floors, walkways, work stations.
- Vacuums beams and other accumulation areas removing coal dust and operations debris.
- Must be able to lift 50-75lbs on a regular basis
- Dusts and cleans lighting fixtures, other surfaces and trim.
- Cleans and helps maintain floors, electric rooms, maintenance shops and break areas.
- Reports building repair needs to the supervisor daily.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and practices; safety precautions related to cleaning equipment and supplies used including ability to read cleaning product labels, mix and work with cleaning solutions in proper proportions.
- Ability to perform above duties which may involve standing, bending and kneeling for periods of time; climbing stairs and working in an industrial environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements: Applicants must be 18 years old, have a valid Driver License, and will be required to pass a background check and submit to a drug and alcohol screening.
Other/Special note: In this position the incumbent will work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled, with loud noises, work in confined spaces, while completing duties that require repetitive movements such as but not limited to crouching, crawling, kneeling, bending, steeping, squatting, twisting, turning etc.
