What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Lot Custodian position at Facilities Performance Group Llc?
Job Summary:
- Collects and transports all types of trash, recyclable materials such as such as pallets, doors, ropes, milk crates, water bottles cardboard, plastic and metals from various locations throughout the parking lots.
- Separates all plastic sheeting type and bags to storage case for bailing.
- Separates all metals and places like materials in metal bins as designated.
- Performs pre-inspection of equipment (i.e., bailer, compactor, etc.) prior to use and informs supervisor of any maintenance problems or repairs needed.
- Reviews information on the Supervisor-to-Supervisor Report to ensure completion of unfinished tasks from previous shift. Identifies the areas needing priority completion.
- Obtains vehicles (i.e., forklift, tug, etc.) required to complete the job tasks.
- Completes any daily paperwork that his/her position requires. Makes Safety the first consideration above all other responsibilities. Follows all safety rules and uses sound judgment for the protection of him/herself, coworkers, client personnel, client invitees, general public and property. Participates in safety training and attends safety meetings as scheduled by Supervisor. Also, responsible to report to his/her supervisor any unsafe conditions or practices.
- Participates in ISO practices and embraces ISO principles and philosophies in the performance of principal duties and responsibilities.
The following physical abilities are required:
Works in a variety of environmental conditions, controlled/non controlled, including wide temperature and weather variations, noise and vibrations, fumes and odors. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Standing, Sitting, Walking, Lifting/Carrying < 20 lbs., Lifting/Carrying 20 - 50 lbs., Lifting/Carrying >50 lbs., Stooping/Bending/, Squatting/Crawling/Crouching, Pulling/Pushing, Twisting Trunk/Neck, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching with Hands and Arms, Grasping/Squeezing.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Previous related experience or training preferred but is not required.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
All licenses and industry certifications as required by local and/or state jurisdictions.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate all trade tools and equipment.
