Job description

Custodians clean and maintain the orderly condition of public and private facility areas, premises of office buildings, commercial or institutional buildings, fence lines, and grounds as assigned. Tasks may involve a combination of the following:

• sweeping,
• mopping,
• scrubbing/polishing floors;
• vacuuming/shampooing carpeted floors;
• removing trash and other refuse
• dusting and/or a high dusting of fixtures, equipment, and designated structures (may utilize catwalks for certain areas);
• polishing metal fixtures and trimmings;
• cleaning showers and restrooms;
• maintain and/or issue equipment/supplies and maintain stock records.

Custodians work at a face pace to get all of the daily task completed in a timely manner and any daily paperwork the position requires. Custodians must be able to work as a team and follow instructions. Notify the supervisor/manager of any issues needing attention. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by requirements and business needs. Other duties may be assigned.

Participates in ISO practices and embraces ISO principles and philosophies in the performance of principal duties and responsibilities.

The following physical abilities are required:

Works in a variety of environmental conditions, controlled/non controlled, including wide temperature and weather variations, noise and vibrations, fumes and odors. Continuous standing, walking, utilizing stairwells, catwalks, scaffolding while completing duties that require repetitive movements such as but not limited to crouching, crawling, kneeling, bending, steeping, squatting, twisting, turning, frequent lifting, stooping, pulling, reaching with hands and arms, grasping, squeezing and pushing.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years old

· Must have lived in the United States the past consecutive 5 years

· Work Authorization: United States (Required)

· Verifiable work history

· Two forms of ID (must be legible/name matching) State ID, Driver License along with a long version birth certificate or social security card

· Education: High School Diploma or GED
