Production Assembler - Commercial Tankless Water Heating ( Hands on Builds )
SUMMARY: Production team members apply a high level of mechanical aptitude, shop math (measuring, cutting, fitting and joining pipe and assembling water heating systems), using basic SOP's and verbal instruction / on the job training. You will be measuring, fitting and joining copper pipe, placing and securing components, entering work orders into computer and meeting deadlines for production demands. You will also be responsible for your contribution to safety, cleanliness and quality.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Following company policies and procedures
- Safe work habits including safe operation of shop equipment and tools
- Working from SOP's and directions to perform varying tasks
- Using a computer to enter and update work order and inventory systems
- Staying proactive and informed of the production schedule and demands
- Meeting deadlines according to leadership instruction / production schedule
- Identifying and locating leaks in piping and repairing them
- Helps tidy shop or work on other projects (based on production demand)
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Great attendance and work ethic is critical here
- Demonstrated applicable recent work history
- Capable proficiency with shop equipment, hand and power tools
- Familiar with plumbing or pipefitting and have recent experience
- Ability to operate a forklift and other inventory equipment
- Desire to work independently and grow in their position
- Be willing to obtain chauffeur, DOT Med card, and CDL designations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with others and handle customer interactions appropriately and professionally
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Forklift experience
- Possess computer skills to the extent necessary to fulfill this function. Should also be very familiar with the use of smartphones, tablets, text messaging, and email.
- Ability to demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
