Production Assembler - Commercial Tankless Water Heating ( Hands on Builds )
SUMMARY: Production assemblers are team members who apply a high level of mechanical aptitude, shop math (measuring, cutting, fitting and joining pipe and assembling water heating systems), applying knowledge gained from a combination of basic SOP's and verbal instruction / on the job trainings. Common materials worked with include up to 3" copper, pvc, black pipe, manifolds, recirculation pumps, valves, MC cabling, electrical components. You will be measuring, fitting and joining components, entering work orders into computer and meeting deadlines for production demands. You will also be responsible for your contribution to safety, cleanliness and quality.

- PAY: $18 - $22 / Hr (BOE) to start
- SHIFT: Days
- HOURS: 40 - 50 / Week (Average)
- OVERTIME: As needed
REQUIRED DUTIES:
- Compliance w/ all safety policies and company procedures;
- Follow directions and written instructions, SOP's or blueprints;
- Good shop math skills - including accurate measurements using a tape measure;
- Ability to lay out and cut or thread pipe - usually copper, pvc, cpvc or black pipe;
- Ability to correctly identify and quickly distinguish stock plumbing components such as fittings, valves - as well as sizes, shapes, names, etc., in time;
- Ability to understand and follow build kit orders, production or packing lists;
- Safe and proper operation of shop power tools and equipment, i.e., forklifts, ladders, torches, grinders, saws, pipe cutters, air tools, drill presses, lathes, etc.;
- Safe and correct use of hand tools such as Propress crimp press (shop provides), variety of wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Ability to use technology and attention to detail to update work order systems;
- Staying proactive and informed of the production schedule and demands;
- Meeting deadlines according to leadership instruction / production schedule;
- Consistently keeping an organized, safe and tidy work area;
- Other duties, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Great attendance
- Demonstrated applicable recent work history
- Capable proficiency with shop equipment, hand and power tools
- Familiar with plumbing or pipefitting and have recent experience
- Ability to operate a forklift and other inventory equipment
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with others and handle customer interactions appropriately and professionally
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle the physical demands of the job
- Willingness and ability to perform physically strenuous tasks on occasion during shift, i.e., some lifting, bending; standing for long periods
