CNC or Panel Saw Operator - Whitestown Indiana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for CNC Operator - Wood products

. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

· Set Up CNC (measure bits and input the proper offsets), ensuring each piece meets required specifications

· Inspect parts for accuracy and quality of the cut edge

· Make adjustments to CNC coordinates and off sets as needed to maintain accuracy and quality of parts

· Check programs for specific details needed for setting up the CNC

· Lift parts onto pallets or carts and label parts as needed

Knowledge and Skills

· 1-3 years of prior CNC experience

· Must be able to operate safely and efficiently

· Basic math skills

· Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when production needs require it

· Excellent communication skills

· Able to read, write, speak and understand English

Physical Demands

· Must be able to independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 pounds occasionally

· Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, on a frequent to continual basis

· Reach above shoulder level frequently

· Must be able to work in a noisy environment

Standard production hours are 6 am to 2:30; 10-hour shifts (overtime schedule) run from 6 am to 4:30 pm.
