BAS Technician
Job Summary
The BAS Technician will service our client’s Building Automation Systems. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, adjusting, minor programming and commissioning, responding to corrective service calls (routine or emergency) and preventative maintenance. .
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of BAS, Building Automation, systems, (Johnson Controls, Niagara N4 preferred)
- Provide diagnostics and repair services on DDC, Direct Digital Control, systems and HVAC equipment if needed.
- Ability to troubleshoot DDC plant and field controllers using PC and meters.
- Monitoring, maintenance, and repairs of the BMCS systems on the site.
- Perform software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system operation.
- Documents findings and actions taken on service reports and / or work orders.
- Takes corrective actions as needed.
- Completes / closes service reports and / or work orders once condition is verified to be satisfactory with supervisor / client.
- Performs all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Two-to-four-year technical degree and/or industry related technical field experience including HVAC Systems, DDC Systems, software and device calibration.
- Familiar with DDC applications pertaining to the HVAC industry
- Previous BAS programming preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- All state or federal license requirements; or any licenses or certificates that may be required by the contract in which the employee is working.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with supervisors, technicians and customers.
- Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance after hire.
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
