Job Summary
FSI would like to hire a general maintenance worker to join our team. This position performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical and HVAC work at Buckley Space Force Base.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Replaces belts and filters on air handling units.
- Maintains Boilers, Chillers, Circulating pumps etc.
- Maintains medical equipment such as compressors and suction vacuums.
- The ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Utilizes plaster/compound to patch minor holes/cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repairs; replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Paints structures and equipment as required.
- Inspects/repairs damaged interior infrastructure surfaces as needed.
- Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery, as assigned.
- Follows companys safety, health and accident prevention plan while maintaining records in a timely fashion.
- Light electrical. Replace fluorescent light bulbs, egress lighting, Light switches and electrical plugs.
- Light lock smith knowledge, replace handles, locks and door closures.
- Must be able to lift 50 LBS, Push Pull and Bend.
- Hang white boards, sharps containers, soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers.
- Light floor tile, masonry and concrete work required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Ability to prioritize and execute maintenance schedules.
- Competency and punctuality to complete Government documentation.
- Minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NACI/LAC clearance after hire.
- Drug free. Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must possess a valid state drivers license and insurable driving record.
- Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces, assist others as part of the maintenance team as required and perform other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.
- Health Care experience is a plus.
