IJO / SSHO Manager
Job Summary
FSI is looking to hire an Individual Job Order (IJO) Manager responsible for executing all corrective maintenance repairs and capital improvement projects as requested by the Facility Management Division (FMD). The IJO Manager shall be responsible for managing the service order program, assisting the FMD in developing SOW, tracking and verifying completion of warranty work, and for all IJO project related quality control inspections for all service orders and projects assigned.
Performs collateral duty as Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO). Monitors workplace activities to ensure the safety of FSI employees, clients, and subcontractors on the project. In addition, assures compliance with company policies and governmental safety regulations, and provides support for implementation of the Site-Specific Accident Prevention Plan.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
IJO Manager:
- Maintain scheduling, coordinating, and initiating corrective maintenance work, inspecting work, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the appropriate scope of work.
- Ensure all work is completed safely with a high quality of displayed craftsmanship
- Assess and provide technical assistance guidance and assistance to support all personnel involved.
- Manages the development, cost estimating, execution, inspection, acceptance, and status reporting for comparison to Independent Government Estimates and solicit proposals from subcontractors.
- Monitor service order hours and submit requests for conversion from service order to IJO (individual job order) for approval.
- Will provide schedule development, technical direction and coordinate internal and subcontracted resources.
- Performs all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures.
SSHO:
- Conduct and document weekly toolbox safety meetings with entire staff.
- Manage Health & Safety Training to ensure employees understand hazards associated with site conditions and activities and methods to mitigate those hazards.
- Conduct safety inspections/audits and document safety deficiencies or unsafe acts on the appropriate form as determined by contract. Submit the findings to the PM for correction; In emergency situations, SSHO has the authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.
- Ensure that employees are compliant and wearing all required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) for the specific work activity being performed.
- Maintain awareness to current and updated federal standards and regulations; Inform employees of changes.
- Validates and provides oversight to the development of Activity Hazard Analysis.
- Lead mishap investigations, assuring causation of mishaps are identified and corrective actions developed to reduce the risk of reoccurrence and verifying the effectiveness of actions taken.
- Maintain the OSHA 300 Log.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of (5) five years of experience in managing major hospital facility construction, renovation, or major repair programs, including managing Safety programs
- 30 hours of certified OSHA training
- Current ASHE, CHFM, CHC certification or obtain certification within 6 months of start date
- Knowledge and understanding of contracting procedures and authorization processes and government regulations
- Strong management background with conflict resolution skills and negotiations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Valid driver license and insurable driving record.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries).
