Tractor Operator

Job Summary

Drive and maintain a gasoline or diesel-powered tractor, pull bush hogs, move materials, draw implements, and tow trailers. Connect and utilize attachments such as bush hogs, graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows. Adjust equipment for proper operation, lubricate, and make minor repairs to tractor and attachments. This is a year-round job and includes health insurance, paid vacation and sick days, and a 401k plan.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor and mowing equipment to perform landscaping maintenance.
• Operate a light truck, riding or power mower, bush hog, small tractor, or other automotive equipment.
• Maintain equipment, tightening bolts, replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
• Pickup and deliver of inventory and supplies.
• Perform routine safety inspection of assigned equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance duties to check oil, fuel, water, and air as necessary, clean and wash equipment.
• Participate in general labor duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Six (6) to twelve (12) months experience in maintenance work such as mowing, cleaning, and assisting a team/crew; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
