Job Description
We are seeking a Journeyman Service Electrician to join our FSG Florida team. As a key member of our team, you will perform terminal and electrical service, equipment and system repair, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks across various facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
- Prepare sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications.
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes, and local electrical codes.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, performing physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in lighting or electrical maintenance.
- Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen.
- Must be able to meet criteria to drive a company vehicle.
- Must be willing to work nights.
- Valid and current drivers license.
- CSLT Certification a plus.
