What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Facsimile Communication Industries, Inc?
The position of Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
- Prepares and processes supply orders: pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Prepares orders for carrier service by packing and labeling merchandise; arranging pickup; maintaining carrier records.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Receives and checks merchandise by unloading; checking for damage; verifying freight bill.
- Fills orders by identifying items requested; pulling items from stock; packing and labeling items; noting back orders; verifying completeness.
- Controls inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory system; notifying purchasing department when reorder points are reached; retrieving unused or excess supplies and equipment and reentering them to inventory.
- Provides information by answering questions; inputting and generating data.
- Some Warehouse or Inventory Control experience preferred.
- Experience in operating various material handling equipment (Including, but not limited to, Reach Trucks, Forklifts and Order Pickers)
- Some Warehouse or Inventory Control experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office, Internet, Outlook
- Knowledge of ISO and OSHA Requirements preferred, but not required.
- Good organizational skills.
- Energetic, self-starter, and works independently.
- Must have ability to lift, move, and organize material in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent or the equivalent in related work experience.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00
