The Outreach & Media Director has multiple focuses :
Community and business outreach : 10-20 hours a weekOverseeing a 3-person media team : 5-10 hours a weekRecruiting and enrolling students : 5-10 hours a weekOutreach :
The primary objective is to communicate with existing and prospective partners of Factory Underground Tech, including but not limited to local public and private schools, non-profit organizations, and businesses.
Responsibilities include :
Prospecting non-profit and corporate partnerships to provide sponsorship and scholarship fundingProspecting potential grant and funding opportunities for student scholarshipsWriting grant applicationsLeading fundraising efforts through effective communication strategies that resonate with potential donorsSupporting in-house community eventsCreating collaborations with local businesses and organizationsCoordinating public speaking engagements and representing the organization at various eventsMedia Operations :
The primary objective is to oversee a team of content creators and event planners as they create both social media and marketing materials, ensuring a coherent school image and branding across various audiences.
Responsibilities include :
Overseeing the publishing calendar and project deadlinesSupporting ad scripting and ad shoot schedulingConducting data collection and analysis to assess the effectiveness of media campaignsDeveloping and implementing comprehensive media strategiesOverseeing the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, and traditional mediaAdmissions :
The primary objective is to counsel prospective students through the enrollment process (includes adult, college-replacement age, high school, high school parents).
This includes responsibilities shared with school administrators :
Giving private studio and school toursMaintaining phone or email contact with prospective students until enrollmentDelivering student information to school administrators for billing and documentationOther specific responsibilities :
Weekly meetings with studio owners and school administratorsProviding a weekly report of enrollment numbersQualifications :
Four years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired skills and abilities :
Motivated and self-directedStrong administrative skills to manage multiple projects efficientlyExcellent project management abilities to oversee complex initiatives from inception to completionDemonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate team membersCommunicative, clear speaker with command of language both written, on phone calls, and in personAble to develop and implement systemsPassionate about music, the arts, and educationPassionate about arts accessibility for people of all backgroundsAbility to collect and analyze data for informed decision-makingWilling to identify issues in workflow and work to improve efficiencyComfortable with Google spreadsheetsProven track record in fundraising through effective communication strategiesAdditional skills and qualifications :
