Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Substitute Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality care and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role requires effective communication skills, strong classroom management abilities, and a passion for educating young children.
Duties
- Assist in Implementing lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Demonstrate an understanding of childhood development principles.
- Engage students in meaningful activities that promote critical thinking and creativity.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance during the assignment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles.
- Experience or familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students and staff.
- A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in various classroom settings toddler to pre-K.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
