Summary: The successful candidate works closely with the Plant Manager in making sure that each project is properly planned to assure that the projects are started and completed on time and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Attends all backlog meetings and knows the potential start date of upcoming projects
- Prints and distributes all approved shop drawings to production, QC, shipping, fabrication and if applicable, to the in-house inspector.
- Handles all drawing revision requirements for production with engineering
- Communicates with the contractor throughout production start-up and production.
- Obtains schedules and delivery dates of the product from the contractor and communicates these dates with production and shipping.
- Orders raw materials and schedules fabrication of forms in house, and if necessary from outside resources.
- Adds jobs to the shop list for set-up by priority of schedules.
- Generates daily production schedule (based on production from the previous day) to the plant for production on both shifts.
- Communicates with the Delivery Coordinator of specific delivery requirements.
- Communicates with the Plant Supervisor when jobs are ready to start.
- Generates and maintains approved itemized production status/backlog.
- Generates a weekly production projection report.
- Cross references the Daily Labor report against actual daily production.
- Cross trains for other positions when others are on vacation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar project management role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
