What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intellectual Property Patent Agent - Minneapolis position at Faegre Drinker?
Faegre Drinker is actively recruiting a Patent Agent to join the Intellectual Property group in our Minneapolis office.
This position offers the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution. Successful candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field. Successful candidates should also have two or more years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications on related technologies. Applicants with experience in drafting and prosecuting AI and machine learning patents are preferred. Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required. Candidates must be collaborative and motivated to succeed in a client-focused, team-oriented environment. Preferred candidates will have excellent academic credentials and have strong written and oral communication skills.
