JOB OVERVIEW
Manage all aspects of the care and cleaning of guest, staff and management laundry. Work with the dry-cleaning vendor to ensure that all items are taken care of according to brand standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate equipment necessary to sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold and package guest laundry and dry cleaning, employee clothing and uniforms.
- Log, tag and package guest and employee clothing and uniforms.
- Iron and fold guest room and Food & Beverage flat work.
- Pick up from and deliver to guest rooms and uniforms room all clothing which is in need of cleaning or has been cleaned.
- Maintain an acceptable state of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area.
- Collect and issue uniforms.
- Assist in the pickup and delivery process of the hotel’s linen and terry. Weigh and inventory of carts and track discarded materials.
- Conduct monthly uniform and laundry inventories.
- Knowledge of sewing, measurements, pressing and finishing of both guest and staff garments.
