Outside Batching Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Outside Batching Operator team.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 25kg (55 lb.) bags continuously.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to operate Forklift and Loader; must be an experienced forklift driver.

· Must be able to work around chemicals used in food production.

Other Essential Job Requirements:

· Ability to abide by all employee safety and food safety rules and regulations.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

· Must be able to read/write/speak English to follow procedures/rules/ regulations effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

· This position requires the operator to multitask and work efficiently.

· Load and unload trucks for receiving products and as needed.

· Follow procedures for receiving product from approved suppliers, and complete appropriate paperwork correctly.

· Keep the outside material properly identified with correct lot number; properly stored as instructed by Plant Manager; and keep the area clean and organized.

· Wash and stack pallets neatly to be used for the palletizing of the product inside.

· Complete all required documents properly and follow document control procedures.

· Operate the forklift and loader in a safe an efficient manner.

· Make batches in the Soda and Acid tanks: Prepare the formula by following the amounts prescribed by the Plant Manager and mix them in the appropriate batch tanks.

· Keep the forklifts and loader clean, park in appropriate area for overnight storage, and keep tanks full.

· Mix Raw Tartrates well to allow for thorough drying.

· Sample product of the raw material received and take a full bag to the lab.

· Sample product of the raw material in inventory as requested by the plant manager and take a full bag to the lab for each sample type. Return the samples to their respective piles when lab is done with the testing.

· Operate the foaming machine in a safe manner and refill the tank when close to empty; keep it clean and organized and stored in the appropriate location.

· Use caustic to wash the outside tanks as assigned.

· Keep assigned area clean, organized, with trash thrown away, no food in the production area, and be audit ready.

Employee Responsibilities:

Attendance: All employees are expected to be at work every day they are scheduled unless previously arranged with the manager. Punctuality: All employees must report to their stations at their scheduled start time.

Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with other team members to maintain production efficiency and to promote teamwork. You are also expected to communicate irregularities or issues to management.

Additional Responsibilities:

· As a member of the production team, you will be expected to train in other areas as needed, and as required by management.

· Assist with other tasks as assigned by management and not already covered here.

Certificate Required:

· Forklift Certificate

Job Type: Full-time
