Summary

About the job

Assists pharmacist in any pharmacy at any location or site by performing the following duties. Shift will be 8:30 AM - 4:3- PM, M - F.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists pharmacist to prepare and dispense prescriptions
• Ensures security of Protected Health Information as per HIPAA requirements
• Assists in properly storing incoming supplies and drug. Counts stock to maintain accurate inventory records Sorts and disperses labels to prepare for filling
• Answer and direct internal phone calls, pulls supplies for other departments as needed
• Performs visual inspection and labeling of compounded products
• Assists with the cleaning of the general pharmacy, and equipment
• Maintains cleanliness daily by cleaning the dispensing room
• Checks BUDs and expiration dates as directed
• Add inventory to pharmacy software
• Assist with the receiving and ordering of pharmacy products and supplies
• Work with different areas of the pharmacy to ensure accurate and timely dispensing.

• MUST HAVE NJ PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE.
• Strong communication skills
• Be organized and detail oriented
• Possess the ability to read and interpret documents
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
