Duties
- Prepare and set up forms for concrete pouring, ensuring they are level and secure.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
- Use tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to finish surfaces smoothly.
- Apply sealers and curing compounds as needed for long-lasting finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion.
- Operate heavy equipment for concrete pumping when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with concrete work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of trim carpentry, drywall installation, and roofing is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is an asset.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work on construction sites for extended periods.
