What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance Agent position at Fair Grounds Race Course?
Act as oversight and security agent for management and customers. Observe casino for irregular activities. Usually required to provide verbal and written reports of all violations and suspicious behavior to supervisor.
Essential Functions –
- Documents procedure infractions
- Documents incidents of theft, etc.
- Conducts or assigns Close Watch or other special surveillance
- Informs Director of special observation requests
- Forwards all reports to Director
- Recommends Close Watch on personnel observed to be acting suspiciously
- Makes proper notifications of Gaming and other violations
- Represents Director in his absence
- Perform all other duties, as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes (6 direct reports)
Education and/or Experience: 3-5 years of experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.
Licenses/Certificates: Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.
