What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing/Civil Rights Assistant position at Fair Housing Council of Northern New Jersey?
A Non-Profit Housing/Civil-Rights Organization in New Jersey is seeking volunteers for part-time per-diem housing/civil-rights assistants. The hours are flexible with day, evening, and weekend hours available. A $75.00 stipend is provided for each assignment, as well as reimbursement for mileage, parking, and tolls. Payment is per assignment with a time commitment of approximately 1 to 4 hours per assignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality;
- Dependability and ability to complete work assignments in a timely manner;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- Ability to take and follow directions;
- Good observation skills and memory/recall;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Valid Driver's License and willing to travel within neighboring counties in New Jersey (gas mileage reimbursement provided);
- Computer or data entry experience and/or aptitude not necessary but extremely helpful;
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and eligible to work in the United States
