BEHAVIORIST (ANTICIPATED)
Qualifications
N.J. Certificate: School Psychologist or certificate in a related field and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate, preferred, or willingness to obtain within the first three years of employment
- BCBA certificate can be accepted in lieu of a NJDOE certificate
- Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis, preferred
- Experience with Trauma-Informed Care, preferred
- Proficient in creating function-based intervention plans for behavior change strategies
- Demonstrate ability to provide classroom consultations
- Able to develop students' IEP goals
- Experience working with at-risk students
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, staff, administration and parents
- Proficient in student record keeping applications, Genesis preferred
- Must be able to perform physical work, as required
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
