Position Summary
The Admissions Building Guide is responsible for cash handling, ticket sales, and operating POS terminals.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Proactively greet guest, groups of guests, and schools within earshot with a warm welcome
- Communicate ticket prices accurately
- Ensure group leaders are guided efficiently
- Document group and school group’s activities in numerical order on the check off sheet
- Command attention and take the lead with group leaders and teachers
- Explain and start exhibits as needed
- Ensure exhibits are clean and working
- Report to management in the instance an exhibit is having an issue
- Obtain and share accurate farm knowledge with guests and co-workers
- Complete daily operational checklist in area of responsibility
- Complete daily cleaning checklist in area of responsibility
- Solve problems as they occur
- Work in a fast-paced environment paying attention to each guest and remembering which attractions they experienced and which ones they have yet to experience
- Professionally, politely, and positively communicate to guests and co-workers
- Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Follow written and verbal instructions from company operating procedures and/or management
- Stay organized in manner, with materials, and company property
- Stay in constant communication with other departments informing them of guests’ activities and their desires
- Multitask and anticipate the needs of guests
- Communicate departmental improvement ideas to management
