Position Summary
Assures compliance with the proper regulatory, customer and GMP requirements. The sanitation Supervisor assures us that the work groups meet the company’s safety, quality, food safety, customer service, and cost commitments. The position will be responsible for people and team development to ensure continuous improvement while delivering a clean and sanitary workplace. Also, will be responsible for ADP to be to deliver to payroll on time, Chemical Allocation and dispensing, and all corrective action needed from QA. The sanitation Supervisor’s responsibility is to oversee the work of Sanators as well as clean heavy-duty manufacturing machinery and other areas of the production plant.
Responsibilities
- Promotes a positive work environment
- Supervises adherence to GMP’s during sanitation procedures
- Monitors, audits, and updates as necessary processing and packaging equipment cleaning systems / procedures to ensure optimal cleanliness
- Ensures compliance with all companies and regulatory sanitation food quality and food safety standards as well as employee safety and environmental standards
- Works closely with outside sanitation contractors, management and production personnel on sanitation problems; recommending changes to improve sanitation policies, procedures, and cleaning effectiveness
- Performs comprehensive sanitation audits on each unique production process including dismantling and inspection processing and packaging equipment to determine sanitation effectiveness
- Communicates and documents reports / trends / issues regarding inspections, sanitation deviations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies
- Conducts training programs for all sanitation procedures and is responsible for the development and training of sanitation personnel
- Understands chemical specifications and their effectiveness / proper application for different processing / packaging equipment SOP’s
- Responsible for overseeing, coordination, and management of the food manufacturing outside contracted sanitation crew
- Reviews labor schedules to ensure appropriate coverage to meet labor efficiencies and production demands
- Maintains and revises departmental procedures including the master sanitation schedule and SSOP’s reflecting process improvements that maintain or improve pre-operational and operational hygienic conditions
- Reviews and maintains sanitation documentation for Quality Assurance and regulatory review
- Build partnerships with production, quality, maintenance, and human resources to ensure production and people’s goals are met and shift handoffs operate effectively
- Other duties as assigned
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift 50lb and must have knowledge of computers and be proficient in word and Excel.
