What are the responsibilities and job description for the ARF Assistant Administrator position at Fair Oaks Manor?
The Assistant Administrator will manage the day to day operations of the adult facility in compliance with regulatory requirements, and will develop, implement and manage specialized residential services tailored to each residents strengths, challenges, interest and goals.
The Assistant Administrator will direct staff to provide high-quality services to the individuals we will serve. In this role you will make sure that a structured program is implemented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory skills include staff scheduling and application of progressive discipline policy.
- Must have certification on Basic First aid and CPR
- Must have health screening, TB Clearance and Criminal Background Clearance.
- Must have public relations capabilities, and knowledge of labor law.
- Proficient in Title 22 Regulations, basic corporate policies, and basic knowledge of special needs of seniors.
- Must have leadership ability; be compassionate, fair, patient, articulate, dedicated, motivating, encouraging, dependable, resourceful, creative, adaptable, supportive of staff, and able to deal with stress effectively.
- Must be skilled in dealing with emergencies and handling death and illness with finesse.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participating in and overseeing the day to day provision of outstanding care and supervision of all residents, in lieu of or in the absence of the administrator.
- Being present in the facility during normal business hours and at a minimum, the number of hours required to ensure that the facility is operated efficiently and in compliance with all current laws and regulations of DSS.
- Responsible for the operation of the facility within standards and in compliance with Title 22 and the Health and Safety Code.
- Investigation of and correcting any resident/family/neighborhood complaints and keeping the licensee informed of disposition of complaints.
- Reporting any abuse of a resident which is witnessed, suspected or alleged as outlined in facility Personnel Policies.
- Timely reporting of any Unusual Incident or Death Report to CCLD.
- Must have the Responsibility and Authority to carry out the policies of the licensee.
- Supervise move-ins and move-outs, resident complaints, and all other decisions related to resident family relations.
- Recognizing any unmet needs and assisting the resident to attend community or other programs that may meet these needs. If a resident needs to relocate to a higher level of care because the resident’s needs cannot be met, the administrator will assist the resident to relocate to ensure a smooth transition.
- Utilization of available Community Resources such as senior center, medical professionals, community centers, etc. Ensure that transportation is arranged.
- Ensuring medical appointments are scheduled as needed and all medical needs are met. Work with the Wellness Director to maintain these goals.
- Oversee the development and implementation of an activity plan that promotes safe, stimulating and enjoyable recreational, physical and cognitive activities.
- Any additional duties as assigned by the Licensee.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends only
