Director of Legal & Compliance

Fair Trade Outsourcing is looking for a Director of Legal and Compliance to lead our legal and regulatory strategy, ensuring our business operates with the highest level of integrity, compliance, and risk mitigation. What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Manage – Oversee a legal and compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
• Develop Legal Strategy – Design and implement policies to ensure compliance with local, federal, and industry regulations.
• Provide Legal Counsel – Advise senior leadership on transactions, contracts, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Regulatory Compliance – Ensure our company meets all legal and compliance requirements.
• Policy & Risk Mitigation – Draft, review, and update policies that align with business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with internal teams to support business initiatives while maintaining legal integrity.
• Contract Review & Negotiation – Oversee agreements, vendor contracts, and legal documentation.
• Labor & Employment Compliance – Assist with labor claims and ensure compliance with employment laws.

What We’re Looking For:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (in good standing).
• 7-10 years of legal experience in a large firm or sophisticated in-house legal environment.
• Expertise in corporate law, compliance, and regulatory affairs.
• Proven leadership in managing legal teams and high-stakes matters.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
