Job Description Summary
Job Title: Deckhand – Aboard FW II or Hula Kai Vessels
Status: Full time or Part time/Non-Exempt Hourly
Reports To: 1st Mate, Captain, Boat Dept. Operations Mgr. & Vice President
SUMMARY
The purpose of the Deckhand position is to work as part of a team under the general supervision of the Captain and 1st Mate to provide Fair Wind guests with exceptional customer service, enhance the snorkel cruise experience, and assure all necessary details of the cruise are completed with the highest level of quality. Ensuring customer safety is a #1 priority at all times and all Fair Wind safety standards, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Strong swimming skills, ability to free-dive 15 feet to secure the mooring, some heavy lifting is required, and a comfort level working long days on a vessel on the open ocean
Pay commensurate of experience. An additional hourly shift premium for Manta shift. Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours in workweek.
