Drywall Specialist Reports to Field Manager
The Drywall Specialist position requires a desire to work hard with a team of talented carpenters and to take on greater responsibilities as you progress. Requires specialty drywall expertise in specific areas of drywall installation such as installing drywall in curved or arch-shaped surfaces, which requires advanced cutting and bending techniques. Other specialty areas can include ceiling installations, decorative finishes, or high-end custom projects.
Qualifications
- Customer service oriented
- Efficient, motivated, dependable, and ethical
- 5 years of high-end residential specialty drywall experience
- Must be able to install, finish, and paint
- Apply joint compound, taping, sanding, and creating smooth and seamless finishes on drywall surfaces
- Able to anticipate problems and have ideas for solving the problems at hand as well as estimate the materials and time needed to perform a specific task
- Able to exhibit proper use of tools and equipment
- Should have a full complement of tools and specialty tools
- Knows and follows safety and health policies and procedures
- Able to mentor apprentice Drywall Specialists
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, reach and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis for an 8-hour day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., including overhead, climbing ladders or scaffolding and maneuvering in confined spaces
- Good physical stamina and dexterity
- Ability to perform physical and repetitive motions
- Requires vision and hearing capabilities

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, Monday-Friday. Fairbank Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
The salary range for this position is $35-40/hour
- 7 Paid Holidays per Year (plus Veteran’s Day if you are a military veteran)
- PTO 2 weeks of paid time off per year for sick, vacation and personal time, up to 4 weeks with years of service
