FCAC seeks a dynamic and highly motivated individual with at least three years of fundraising experience to:
1. develop and lead a fundraising strategy
2. build strong relationships with funders and donors
3. coordinate FCAC staff, volunteers, and partners to support FCAC’s fundraising efforts in order to meet the organization’s annual budget and long term budget goals.
This person will report to and work closely with FCAC’s Co-Executive Directors and will interface with program staff as well as working group volunteer leaders. The Development Director must have strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and fundraising skills and a strategic mindset. They must be detail-oriented and comfortable creating, devising and researching innovative strategies and solutions in a grassroots accountable organizing space. This position would be a part of a supportive, passionate, and dynamic team.
This is a full-time (32 hours/week) position following FCAC's four-day work week (Monday-Thursday), with Fridays as paid wellness days. FCAC is an at-will employer. The position is based at FCAC's downtown Fairbanks office at Dena' Movement Commons (526 Gaffney Street). While we strongly prefer candidates located in Fairbanks, we will consider remote applicants within Alaska who can commit to regular in-person visits. Benefits include 12 federal holidays, healthcare premium reimbursement and stipend, $300 per pay period family care stipends, and generous PTO that includes sick time, 5 days of harvest/subsistence leave, 5 days of spiritual/ceremony time, and a two-week winter solstice break.
