SUMMARY
Incumbent is responsible for completing data entry and provides general clerical support to include clerical and non-clerical duties.
JOB DUTIES
- Collects, reviews, and enters data into database daily in an accurate and timely manner.
- Tracks information and runs reports for supervisor, as requested.
- Prepares data for weekly, monthly, and annual reports as well as other special assigned reports.
- Attends all required staff meetings, in-service trainings, and other required meetings.
- Serves as back-up for other clerical positions in assigned program.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Strong organizational and typing skills.
- Ability to report to work in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
- Strong understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native populations.
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)
- High school diploma or equivalent, and
- One (1) year clerical experience involving data entry and/or performing diverse administrative duties.
- A combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for degree requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)
- Two (2) years of clerical experience involving data entry and administrative duties.
- Associate’s degree in business administration or related field.
