Position Overview:
The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Band/Orchestra Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a split position between Barnette Magnet School (0.6 FTE) and Ladd Elementary School (0.4 FTE). The ideal candidate will provide engaging music instruction aligned with district curriculum standards and foster a positive learning environment that supports students' academic, social, physical, and emotional growth.
Employment Details:
- Retirement: State of Alaska TRS
- Bargaining Unit: Fairbanks Education Association (FEA)
- Salary: Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement
- Contract Length: Minimum of 184 days
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must possess or be eligible for a valid Alaska Initial, Professional, or Master certificate with an endorsement in Music
- Must meet all state and federal requirements to be qualified in the required content area
