Parts Packer & Shipper A

Summary:

To pack and ship products and parts in accordance with defined safety, quality, and efficiency standards and procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assembles and prepares orders for shipment including pulling and packing of parts and products.
• Visually inspect parts or products pulled for shipments; set aside items that do not appear to be in good working order for a supervisor or quality team.
• Ensure outgoing shipments for accuracy and meet order requirements.
• Operate a forklift and hand truck to move materials for shipment.
• Constructs small boxes and custom crates as needed for shipments.
• Verify and maintain accurate records of all shipments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Required Qualifications: Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions such as safety rules, operating manuals, procedures, or forms.
• Ability to write to complete information on various forms.
• Basic computer and internet literacy. Examples include entering shipping information on PC, taking online training courses, and updating their employee information in the HR system or mobile app.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships.

Work Environment: Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

• General factory and warehouse setting. Prolonged periods of standing, walking within the building
• Typical work schedule is weekdays 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
• Must be able to don PPE including safety shoes or safety glasses as required where posted in the manufacturing areas of the building.

• Must be able to lift and carry regularly up to 50 lbs.
• Required to use close vision and be able to focus.

• Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on a computer.
• Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment or computer.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
