Summary
Under direct supervision or using test procedures performs routine tests to determine defective PC assemblies, PROMS and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies
Essential Job Duties
- Performs operational tests on PC assemblies, PROMS, and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies in accordance with test procedures to determine good product, (accept / not accept).
- Completes appropriate paperwork as required.
- Performs routine troubleshooting limited to determination of faults prompted by the test system, visual examination and failure symptoms.
- Can, with the aid of microscopes, schematics and multi-meters, detect and repair etch shorts between nodes on a printed circuit board.
- Programs and verifies PROMS.
- Can perform duties of lower labor grade electronics personnel.
