The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in assisting with meal preparation and ensuring that dietary needs are met for residents in our assisted living facility or hospital setting. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus.
- Ensure that all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
- Sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to maintain a clean environment.
- Support the dietary department by helping with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery to residents.
- Maintain accurate records of food temperatures and portion sizes.
- Communicate effectively with residents regarding their dietary preferences and restrictions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department within an assisted living facility, hospital, or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a culinary team while also being able to perform tasks independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service and resident satisfaction.
