What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Groundskeeper position at FairBridge Inn and Suites?
The groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring the hotel property is well maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality. This individual is self motivated and has the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.
- Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.
- Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
Respond to all guest room maintenance request
- Perform maintenance in guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps,air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts.
- Perform maintenance inhotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items.
- Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and handyman duties.
- Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
- Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
Responsible for maintaining all outdoor hotel property.
- Mowing, hand trimming, edging, and operating equipment.
- Keep the hotel property in excellent condition.
- Inspect all tools and equipment before, during and after use. Operate all equipment safely, with care.
- Use moderate to heavy equipment to complete duties as assigned, i.e. leaf blower, power washer, etc.
- Demonstrate the capability to function as a member of a team to accomplish established goals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time (at least 8 hours/shift).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include: AM/PM, weekends, holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (at least 8 hours/shift).
- Self motivated, and ability to work with limited supervision.
