Description
We are looking for a skilled semi-trailer mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on truck trailers, including brakes, tires, suspension systems, and hydraulics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi-trailers
- Conduct safety inspections and document repairs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Replace worn or damaged parts like brakes, tires, suspension components, and wiring.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks like lubrication and fluid level checks.
- Follow company and industry safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a trailer mechanic or in a similar role
- Knowledge of air brake systems, electrical wiring, and hydraulic components
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must have own tools (preferred)
- CDL or welding experience is a plus

Qualifications
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.

Education and Experience:
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a trailer mechanic.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, such as hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems.
- Extensive experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting heavy objects (up to 100lbs).
- Ability to push and pull, and perform tasks that require dexterity, often in tight spaces, while frequently turning your head and neck.
- Good hand-eye coordination is crucial.
- Wear safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and other protective gear as needed.
- Being able to tolerate heat, cold, and wet conditions is important because work can be done outdoors.
